The institute provides a good opportunity to the ITI Trainees in becoming a nodal center leading the technical programs of Wayanad district. The majority population of the district being tribal and financially backward communities is also a good opportunity for the institute to uplift this economically backward population through training and awareness programs.I am immensely happy that with total dedication and commitment from the management and sincere involvement of the faculty members, the institution could produce excellent academic result in every stream of training programs. The vision of Government I.T.I, Kalpetta is to become the best ITI. As a first step it has to become a center of excellence in the state level, attracting the best students from the state. In order to achieve the vision, We aim to:

1. Increase the infrastructure of the institute so as to achieve academic excellence.
2. Improve the quality of the teaching staff, thereby providing quality training to the trainees.
3. Provide necessary training to trainees, aiming at their overall improvement.
4. Contribute to the society by empowering the tribal people and other backward communities aiming at an overall improvement of the society.
5. .Provide good skilled labor for the fast growing industry sector.
6. Modernizing the existing training facilities with the help of advanced technology and constructing additional buildings for class rooms / workshops.
7. Updating knowledge and skills of instructors and trainers.
